Bow Valley Engineering is on the forefront of building science and building envelope engineering - separating the interior of our buildings from exterior conditions. Our practice focuses on the durability and sustainability of buildings, from design and construction to maintenance and restoration. We provide cost-effective solutions to optimize building systems and envelope performance.
For nearly 20 years, our team has practiced building science and building envelope engineering in Western Canada, with projects completed in Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Saskatchewan. To learn more about our team and what we do, explore the links below.
P.Eng., Q.Adj.(Const)

B.Comm., AT
Principal Technologist
For the past decade, Izabela has been involved in various projects across Western Canada. These include building envelope restorations, new construction consulting, historic terracotta assessment and restoration, building envelope condition assessments, and providing litigation support services.
Izabela is a highly skilled architectural and building science technologist, with hands-on experience conducting water penetration tests, air leakage tests using thermography and acoustics, and moisture content testing.

Building science is the practice of engineering and designing buildings that are efficient, durable, safe and comfortable. It encompasses all building elements and systems, including building envelope engineering.
The building envelope is an environmental separation, intended to separate the interior of our buildings from exterior conditions, and is typically comprised of the following:
